There’s a beach vibe, and the atmosphere is very fun. The cocktail list is extensive, with sections for Stirred, Shaken, Frozen, and Hot. There is also plenty of outdoor seating.

The staff is very friendly, and there is a huge variety of drinks. There are HDTVs all over, so you can watch the game in practically any seat. It’s a cool layout how the bar is in the middle of the space, with seats around it.

Sanfords’ wine menu is extensive. Whatever type of wine you’re in the mood for, they will have it. Also, there are plenty of options for wine by the glass, as well as by the bottle. In terms of food, which they do very well, it is classic New American comfort fare and offers a classy, upscale environment with a mix of eclectic dishes for all tastes. Also, don’t forget about the dessert. It’s some of the best we’ve had in Astoria.

The hot chocolate here, like so many of their baked goods, is sweet and delicious. We give a special shout-out to the Nutella Hot Chocolate and Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate.
